Help! What is this crap in my reef tank?!

I need help! Anyone know what this stuff is?

Those are flat worms. Put a filter sock in your sump and siphon then out. If you can't beat them that way there is a product called flat worm exit, but you want to get as many out as you can before using that product. When they die the release toxins and in large numbers it can get pretty bad.

Have no worries - we had the same problem, had a ton of flatwoms and couldn't figure out how to get rid of them -- tried several things -- but the final solution was to get a Spotted Mandarin ( http://animal-world.com/encyclo/marine/ ... ndarin.php )

Worked awesome -- had a happy fat beautiful Mandarin and almost no flatworms. Tried other Mandarins but with no success -- but the Spotted Mandarins were great for this.

Tempted to add flatworms back into the new tank so we can do this again -- but think I'll hold off for right now.. :p

Would highly suggest NOT using the flatworm exit -- read the instructions and warnings and could REALLY be more catastrophic than most would assume for a Reef tank - scary sounding stuff.
