little big for the 40b.now sitting in a 5 gal bucket. now to flush or throw in a sump. hmm. nasty.

bristle worm. i forgot about it and still in the bucket lol. should i keep it and sump it or flush it?

It's a bristleworm. The earthworm of the ocean. Eats detritus, chunks of leftover food, dead organisms, etc. They are useful and good for your tank, but hellfied CREEPY when they get big. Whenever I find any over 3", I flush them. They weird me out, and they sting like hell if you accidentally touch one when grabbing some rock or moving some sand around. For me, they create little blisters under the skin. Have 5 on my fingertip right now from one when I was rearranging rock a couple days ago. :shock:
