Can live rock dry out

Hi again my setup came today but can't set up, can I let the live rock dry out or does it absolutely need water

DONT let it dry out. if you dry it out it will need to be recured. if you dont care about curing it then let it dry out but cureing will take a few weeks or so to do. your better off to leave it in salt water and just change a little water once a week or so. just add a light, pump, and a heater and your set. if it was me i would keep it wet it will make it easier to crycle your system and in less time.

I agree, I would keep it in saltwater to keep it "alive". You actually don't even need a light, just a pump and heater.
When on a journey, it is good to have an end, but in the end it's the journey that counts.
