help with plumbing barb plastic piece

Postby gem_nut85 on Tue Jul 24, 2012 3:56 pm

I have had mt remora hang on for 6 years and instead of replacing the maxi jet 1400 i went with the mag 3 with venturi wheel and air inlet, but i can't find the barb connecter to go from the 1/4 inlet it comes with to the mag 3 size of 1/2 although 5/8 would fit too, the company said to get a barb to coneect the two pieces of different tube. Does anyone out there have or know where i can get one around here, menards is a big NO for that so far.

I think it is best that you should look for a good plumber on the web or in the phone book or better yet ask someone who could refer you to a good one and stop worrying yourself.

Did you check all Depts. at Menards? They have hose fittings in 3 separate areas at my Menards.
I usually find poly hose fittings I am looking for in either the area where the lawn irrigation or the brass fittings are stocked.

Check a Fleet/farm or Ag store back in the sprayer fittings.

I am surprised you couldn't find what you needed at Menard's. I bet they have it - just couldn't find it?
They have the grey fittings over in plumbing - they also have white fittings that are smaller in a different area of plumbing. Could also check the Home Depot.

I just noticed you are in DeForest too - if you want to come over and poke thru my box of hose fittings you could.

If you can't find them locally F&S sells them online. (at least I think this is what you're looking for)

They're dirt cheap, but you'd have to pay shipping. Menards and HD suck for plumbing parts, you'll have better luck at an ace hardware.

Prevention is better than spending a lot of money in the future. That is the reason why plumbing should be done by an expert.
