It looked like an ant farm...(of bristle worms)

Postby annmarie on Wed Dec 12, 2012 12:56 pm

I was under the tank the other day cleaning and I happened to look up and I discovered that I have a "few" bristle worms that made the bottom of the tank look like a kids ant farm kit.

There is one that is very long, while the others are only a few inches long.

I know they are good for clean up in the tank, but is there a size limit I should be considering or number of them I should be limiting to? I also know that for the few that I do see, that there should be more that I don't see.

It's debatable on how many you should have. I personally feel that more is better.

I just found one in my overflow tower, the worm is at least three times the size of a really fat nightcrawler. I figure it is the perfect spot for him to eat all the food that flows to the sump :D
