Coral king you must be using a Instant Ocean swing arm style hydrometer because Instant Ocean doesn't make a glass hydrometer. Swing-arm style hydrometers a complete garbage!!! Now on the other hand I've used glass hydrometers for years "LOVE THEM" never had a problem! I also have a refractometer to back it up. My glass hydrometer has always been right on.

I Happen to know exactly what to do to drop temp with VERY low$$$ get a couple 64oz Gatorade bottles or 2 liter bottle and WASH the OUTSIDE extremely well and RINSE even better then fill with rodi and freeze then drop bottles with lids on in your sump and it will drop the temp that's how I chill my tank during summer months




MAKE SURE YOU WASH AND RINSE EXTREMELY WELL AND REMOVE LABELS
