Postby Mr. John on Sat Feb 25, 2017 2:59 pm

The Green Bay Aquarium Society (GBAS) is proud to announce that we are fundraising this year for Coral Restoration Foundation’s work restoring coral reefs. 100% of monies raised by auctioning certain designated auction lots and raffle prizes by GBAS will go towards this fund.

You can learn more about how The Coral Restoration Foundation is helping to protect this important critically important habitat by visiting The Coral Restoration Foundation’s website and Facebook.

The Green Bay Aquarium Society (GBAS) will hold its Spring Auction on Sunday March 12th, 2016 at the Starlite Club, W2091 County Rd JJ, Kaukauna, WI 54130.

Seller set up begins at 9:00 am and the bidding starts at 10:30. The event is free, open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend. Refreshments will be available on site.

GBAS is a non-profit educational organization whose purpose is to further the study of all forms of aquatic life, to promote interest, exchange ideas, and distribute information concerning the aquarium hobby, and to encourage the breeding and display of aquatic life. The auction supports this purpose by providing an outlet for area hobbyists to sell the fish and corals they have propagated and/or to purchase varieties of corals and other aquatic life not readily available at area stores. New and used equipment will also be available as well as door prizes and raffles.

GBAS maintains several public aquariums, including those at the Brown County Central Library. Club meetings are held each month at 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna.

The Coral Restoration Foundation ( is a non-profit ocean conservation organization working to restore our coral reefs, educate others on the importance of our oceans, and use science to further research and monitoring techniques. They develop and implement effective strategies for restoring the coral reefs and empower others to use these methodologies within their own coastal communities to better our ocean. Our support allows them to continue their efforts to restore coral reefs, educate individuals about our ocean’s health, and provide opportunities for others to make a difference.
