I really need to know if this is an OK thing to have or something that should be removed. It sort of looks like some kind of mushroom to me.

You gotta be careful with the Red 'X', they can be really annoying. :D

Do a search for Majano Anemone, maybe that's it.

it doesn't look like majano at least not like the one i had in my tank. if you find out what it is let us know

Dr. Shimek is researching and is going to let me know tomorrow. It is about 1" across. As I said it just appeared (or maybe moved from the back??) yesterday so I don't know if it is fast growing or not. The rocks in my tank are scattered around until I can get an ID, if it is bad I want to take it out before things are put back. Denise

It doesnt look quite like the mini carpets we got in our order....does look to be an anemone of some kind though. Cool looking!

No answer yet. I fed it a piece of mysis and it eats like an anenome. I will put the rocks back but try to keep it facing the front in case I need to get rid of it. Denise

Pretty cool, either way.

I'd tend to agree with the ID's above, but until it acts up seems pretty neat.
