What are your favorite fish in a reef tank?

Midas Blenny.

Just love mine, the second we've had. Cute, colorful, peaceable.

I wish I could have a mandarin partly because the fish is so beautiful and partly because that would inherently mean I'd need a big and well-established tank. (well, big relative to the 18g tank I have) :)

None of my tanks have been fish-heavy, but the favorite fish I've owned was probably a 6-line wrasse. Not uncommon, but I still liked him.

Like Carinya, I too am a member of the "wish I could have a mandarin" club. My tanks are 10 and 29 gallons, and I am currently forming a secret plot to grow copepods in a separate planted tank with the future goal of keeping a mandarin. We'll see how this goes.....
I also have a fascination with symbiotic relationships. I think it makes me think that all my time spent in biology classes weren't completely wasted.... so I have a pistol shrimp and watchman goby and as of tomorrow I will have an anemone to host my maroon clown :)

mm midas blenny i will have to look at pic of that.

I too am part of the "who wants to have a mandrin" club,... Such gorgous and unqiue fish.

But as far as what i currently have would have to be my scooter blenny, when he fans by the front glass, it's such a very cool site to see!

My favorite are definately the fairy wrasses. There are tons of beautiful fish to choose from, but many of them are also very pricey.
