Frag Swap?
Moderator: BraenDead
I posted this in another thread, but figured I should ask here too.
I don't have any frags to swap (new to the hobby), but might be interested in buying some... Will anyone be selling any, and for what price?
The one thing I would have to trade, is some "pre-live" rock (Portland I/II-crushed oyster shell recipe) that's just about finished curing. Would anyone be interested in trading for that?

Hi Denasoro -
While I'd love to find trades for my frags ... I know I'm expecting to mainly find folks with dollars and nothing to trade. Which is fine by me - I've cut a lot more frags than I could trade for, because of that.
As for price - so much depends on size, type of coral, etc. Meisen [on previous page] laid out a general guide well ... and it's hard to say without looking at a frag directly. But ... I'd say I'll have some that will be free [like xenia], and the rest will range from $5 or $10 to maybe $25 or so for very large or very `rare' stony coral.
I guess we'll see ... but I know I plan to bring a couple more `starter' sps frags for those who are just stocking and don't have trade. And some for those who are looking for the unusual pieces I have. And hopefully I won't take too many home
See you there!

swap
I think that 20 or so MARS folks replied to either the post or via pm that they were coming. I have also heard from a few others outside the club so all together 30+ people or so. Should be a nice size group for some non-panicked trading action. Nothing like the CMAS swaps that are 150 plus people and crazy!!!!
