Not me- my daughter has a softball tournament that weekend. I'll be cooking pizzas in the concession stand for 2 days.

I've registered and will be there both days... I'm also planning on attending the June MARS meeting, so will get a chance to meet many of you then (I'd like to attend the May meeting this Saturday; however, my brother is coming into town to help me build a deck, so I don't think I can quite swing that one!).

when is it?

Postby stevenliu on Mon May 16, 2005 8:55 pm

When is the swap at Rhilander? and even if I make it there, would whatever I get (alive) make the 4 hours drive home alive? I've never been there so I don't know how long of a drive it is from Madison

Fragswap

Postby meisen on Tue May 17, 2005 7:18 am

I will probably go if there isn't a race that weekend. Would be interesting to see what they have going on up there not to mention trade a few frags.

Steve, usually stuff is fine for a day or two in the bag if packed properly. A few hours or so should be easy. Make sure they dont get to hot and try for frags that have as much water in the bag as possible. Most of the LFS will hook you up with a styro box to transport things in, especially if you ask a week or so in advance of needing it

I brought frags back from NY last winter that stayed in the bags for 2 days and all of them made it except one of the acros.

It's the weekend of August 6-7. Here's a link for the details:
http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/gene ... &subref=BF

They include lots of freebies (including a styrofoam container), and the price is nice! I believe it's a little over a 3-hour drive (3:18 estimate on yahoo maps; it's pretty much a straight shot up Hwy 39/51)
