Sooo Sad.

I always check on my fish before I go to bed and last night I noticed my wrasse wasn't in his normal nest. I thought it wierd but maybe he found a new burrow. When he didn't pop out this morning I got a flashlight and looked behind the tank and there he was on the floor, all dried up. There is maybe a 1 to 1 1/2 inch opening in the back where it is cut out to allow room for the skimmer etc.. Damn, he was pretty and expensive. Crap..... Denise

I'm sorry to hear about your loss :( It seems the fish can find every possible opening to jump through. I use eggcrate (lighting cover) to cover all my holes and leave at most a 1/4" gap - I've found fish too many times in the overflow and know they'll find a hole if there is one to find.

Hopefully you can take care of the gaps and replace him.
