Have to agree with Cliff on that one, although you'll find mixed reviews all over the net as to whether or not they are nitrate or detritus factories.

That is a beautiful setup you got. Very nice looking tank build so far. Are you going full reef? If so, you will need to upgrade that protein skimmer. What are your plans for lighting? I don't know if you are new to the hobby, so welcome to the addiction!

Also depends on mixed reef vs LPS vs SPS, more SPS would mean more skimming, but I have some LPS that have developed nice colors and prospered in more lightly skimmed water.

Hey Guys!

Sorry, been away a bit. Was going through the process of having two apartments. Tank Fund had to be cut short.

I have 2 Aqua Illumination Hydra 26's with the online director for lighting.

I've decided to ditch the bio balls and build a waterfall algae scrubber in its place. (Cheap and effective for the time being)

I want to do a mixed reef, but I might have to settle for a sps. Time will tell...
