Okay, so here it is folks it's been awhile since I've updated my 110gal Oceanic tank build and to be completely honest I had a small tank crash last summer lost most of my acroporas BIG colony's but nothing else, which is weird and I'm not sure what happened but either way it was frustrating and depressing. If there is any thing I learned in this hobby that it can certainly humble you quickly but one thing is for sure I will always have a saltwater tank...KEEP ON REEFIN ON!! So without further ado my new "bubblewoods" old 120 gallon Reef Savvy tank build!!

I have been waiting for sometime to come across a slighty bigger a wider and a low iron glass tank and I was lucky enough to obtain Joe's beautiful rare Reef Savvy tank....thank you Joe, I know it was hard for to sell the tank but hopefully this allows you to spend more time on your 240gal tank and your beautiful family! I will always appreciate you giving me the first opportunity to purchase this tank you put so much time and effort in. Your a good friend and I can only hope I can make it as nice as you once did.

Reef Savvy custom tank, 48"x28"x20" with a RS1500 overflow w/anti-back-siphon design (last tank with this overflow), 3-side Opti-White low iron glass, black back, black silicone...Custom Acrylic Sump 40"x18"x16", 3/8"acrylic, rounded corners, black baffles and some socks...Custom black stand (36" high), sleek/clean design, with side doors for easier access...Eheim 1262 return pump, Tunze 3155 Osmolator for ato...x3 Vortech MP40wES x1 MP10wES...Warner Marine K2 Cone Skimmer with Sicce PSK2500 pump (this skimmer is a beast) connected to Reef Octopus 6" waste collector with auto shut off...x2 Next Reef Reactors 1 for GFO and 1 for carbon...Korallin BioDenitrator (to help reduce the amount of water changes)...GEO 618 Calcium Reactor...all controlled by Neptune Apex Systems...and for lights the Cadillac of lights the best of both worlds a 48" ati 3x75W LED & 8x54W T5 LED-Powermodule hybrid light fixture, thanks to Brian at Best Fish!

It’s been a long time since I commented on my own post. Well my tank kinda went to hell in a hand bag and lost the battle with aiptasha, bubble algae, but worse of all brown/purplish clove polyps started to take over the tank. I tried everything from fenbendazole, kalk paste, scrubbing, even purchased a laser. It was a nightmare I started losing interest in the tank but who was I kidding I spend all this money and I wasn’t about to give up.

So I decided to completely start over by tearing the tank down. All new live rock, new sand, I cut all the corals off the existing rock. Completely drained to the tank. Ran fresh water through the system for a week. I saved what corals I could and rest were tossed into a bucket of bleach along with the existing liverock.

Now a month later my 120 is back up and running and looking better than ever. All my fish survived majority of the coral was saved and the Aquascape is much more appealing.

BTW I want to thank my wife Erin for putting up with the mess in the basement during this time even though I'm sure she hated it!

I’m not sure did have two that I lost. However I do have this nice Joe’s Signature Confetti Cake Chalice that has been doing very well.
