equipment deals

Postby MM on Tue Sep 20, 2016 4:13 am

Looking to get rid of the reef equip on the shelves I am not using, priced to sell. Now some of these may need some work, cleaning up, or repairs sold as is. Like I said may need cleaning up or repairs but would not be still on my shelves if they were junk. These are not expensive name brand as I don't buy the expensive stuff but it is all stuff I used successfully at one point in time.

T5HO four bulb fixtures, some may have one ballast out, 5$ each
Fluorescent Fixtures of various types, 5$ each
Hang on back refugia, maybe even with built in skimmer, 5$ each
Protein skimmers, 5$ each
Wet dry filters - sumps with the spinning bar that can take bio balls or other bio media, 5$ each
old style Nitrate filter, 5$
canister filter, 5$

anything else I bring up to clean up my clutter, 5$

All proceeds donated to my fish and inverts

I am looking to sell things first come first serve this Saturday, 24 Sept starting at noon. Anything left on Sunday goes to the dump. There will be no pumps or heaters as I use those until they die. This is a good way for some beginners with more time than money to get some equipment. No livestock for sale at this time as I am making changes to my tanks and have nothing ready for sale, lets call it a transition. PM me for directions and phone number so you can call ahead if you are later in the day to see what's left. If there is more interest than stuff I will try to manage that by responding to PMs first come first serve also to try to avoid someone driving out to find everything gone. If that happens maybe I will have a cold beer to lighten the burden. I expect the lights to sell quickly, not sure that people want the wet dries but despite what you read on Reef Central bioballs do not hurt your tank. That is a popular RC myth. The wet dry units are sold without bioballs because I have plans for those. Just the case with the top and the spinning bar, they will not have the pump, overflow, or hose because I am using those elsewhere. Like I said I will try to manage this to balance the people coming out with the stuff available. For those that have never been here I am between Sauk City and Mazo, 20 minutes drive NW of Middleton.

Lets get this stuff off of my shelves, :) - Mark

OK I just brought most of this stuff up, a red sea berlin compact in sump protein skimmer, three hang on back protein skimmers, one canister filter name brand, two four bulb t5 HO fixtures, two fish room air purifiers the kind that you wipe off the charged plates, a few compact fluorescent fixtures, two hang on back refugia one with a built in protein skimmer, two wet dry filters, one of them is the first commercially available wet dry from about 1980, a JP Burlson Mandrin, could be a 1000$ collectors item by now, lol. So far only one PM so he gets first shot but I will laugh next week when you all pay 100$ for a hang on refugia, Yup everything 5$

I have several hang on back protein skimmers that only need a new pump.

I have two wet dry filters

Shockingly no one has picked up the two four bulb t5ho three foot fixtures.

I also two standard output fluorescent fixtures

all five dollars each

Not to change the subject - but are those the anemones you got from me? I assume they are. They are looking good.

I hand intended on buying most of it, but I found three, maybe four leaks in the seals of my tank. Threw my other tanks out when I bought my new house, couldn't move them after back surgery. I'm sitting here as I write this debating what to do for a tank, or if I should just sell all my livestock. Really sucks. I'm leaning in the direction of selling it all except my clown n putting him in a cheap 10g for awhile.
