12 Gal. Eclipse Set-up For Sale

Postby Ereefic on Wed May 11, 2005 10:24 am

I've got an Eclipse 12 Gal. (20x10x14) that i'd like to sell. This tank has been set-up for about 3 years. It was set up with a Valentini Puffer originally, but after he comitted suicide it has really just been using up electricity. It's been sitting in the basement ever since and it's time for it to go.

Here is a list of what you'll get:

Tank and Eclipse Hood (filtration and light built in) bio-wheel and NO single strip light

Stand - Microwave stand with open shelf below and storage area with doors.

Heater

Everything that is in the tank - approx. 5 LB of LR, healthy DSB (lots of bristlworms and stomatell snails), misc. macro algea (chaeto., grape culerpa)

I'd like to get $75 for everything, OBO and I would like it outta here ASAP. :)

Here are some pics, the top is a little dirty, but will clean up nicely, just lot's of basement dust:

I am tempted. Coupla questions -

This tank looks square and the only eclipse 12's I've seen are bow(ish)fronts. Is this just an older version?

Somewhat related to above, is it really 20" long by 10" wide by 14" high? 'Cuz the ones I've seen are more like 21" across the front.

This would fit in a pretty tight space in my office... Can you tell me how tall the whole thing is from the floor to the top of the tank?

It's acrylic, right? How's the scratch factor? Would I need to get a polish kit do you think?

Thanks!

The tank is a few years old, and it is square, not the bow front.

The tank is 20x10 and 18 1/2 to the top of the lid. The lid sits over the outside of the tank, so 20 1/2" at the widest.
The stand is 22 1/4 x 15 3/4 x 27 1/2, so that puts the top of the tank around 46" off the floor.

I can get a better pic of the stand tomorrow.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to take a pass. It is just a tad too wide, which is a bummer because if down the road I DO want a tank here, it'll have to be a custom one because 20" wide is standard. I also looked into what all I'd need to do/get in order to finally set up the seagrass/seahorse tank I've been wanting and there are just too many expensive things required for me to swing it right now.

Sorry & best of luck!
