free tanks and cheap backpack skimmer

Postby boonbee on Tue Aug 02, 2005 10:38 pm

Hi all,
I've got a 20g high and leaky 55g tank which someone can have for free. The leak in the 55 is very slow and has dividers for a sump. the 20 high is fine; I just don't need it. If someone knows of a school or other place that can use the 20 high, I'd prefer that but they're free for the taking. Just send me a pm.

I also have an older backpack skimmer w/o a pump. The piece that helps stabilize it on the back of the tank is broken so you'll have to be creative. I'm selling that for 50 obo.

It's kind of fun to be cleaning house. :) nancy

are you going to the frag swap? I could use the 55g and 20g high, I need the 20g tank for my baby b. cardinalfish to be reared in and the 55 g would be perfect for my bearded dragon.

Fish first, you can have the 55g but Sula asked 1st for the 20h. I'm traveling up north with my family so I can't bring the 55g. I live on the far west side of Madison; if you can pick it up, the tank is yours. Nancy

Boonbee,
I have a friend with a snake and was looking for a larger tank. If it's still available they would be interested in the 55 gal.
Let me know and I'll pick it up.

thanks

What kind of dividers are in the 55? I.e. can they be taken out & re-used? If so, and the guy with the snake doesn't need them, I'd be interested in acquiring them...

Hi, I've been out of town and will be away again this weekend. Fish first, are you going to come to Madison to get it? Let me know because a couple people are interested. Thanks, Nancy

The 20 g is gone and since I didn't hear from fish fist, friogatto, your friend can have it. Call me by tomorrow noon or after Monday. Thanks, nancy

I haven't heard from Brian so I'll put it out again. The 55g is free to someone who wants it. It has a hole in the side and a slow leak from the bottom. I recommend this tank for a reptile or someone who enjoys disassembling and remaking tanks. Just let me know if you're interested. Thanks, Nancy
