culturing phytoplankton

Hi! Does anyone culture your own phytoplankton? I'd like to start culturing some to feed my clams. If anyone can give me some valuable advise as of what to look out for it'll be nice. I am willing to pay for some starting culture if anyone has some extras. Thanks.

Thanks! it seems very intriguing. I went through his journal and his pictures and find few people can compete with this guy's dedication. I think my family will never let me spend that amount of $ and time on fishes....
