Reef vacation ??

Postby tim on Sun Mar 04, 2007 11:21 am

We are planning to take a vacation in July or August for 7-10 days. We are looking for ideas as to where to go. This is going to be a family trip, so something that will be fun for all of us. Also we would like to find something with a nice reef for a day or two of underwater exploring. None of us have seen a reef in person, so we are all relly looking forward to this, and would like this to be a big part of the trip. Any ideas??? Thanks in Advance Tim

Check out Puerto Rico, US Territory, no hassle and there are plenty of Scuba/snorkeling charters out of Fajardo (Northeast of San Juan). From there you can also take ferries to the smaller islands and also drive to the Rainforest. There are awesome diving spots across the island if you feel like exploring. You can probably make arrangements in advance and have a local scuba company plan for you. Another alternative is to stay in a hotel that can offer that as an amenity.

Sorry to reply here Tim but it won't send through a pm. I'm home tomorrow from 1 - 5. Could you send me your e-mail and phone number? Thanks, Nancy
