The Brewers are making me drink

Postby BraenDead on Thu Sep 27, 2007 8:20 pm

The Brewers are pissing me off!! So close and they just keep blowing games. Can't get any luckier with the Cubs getting swept by the Marlins and we can't win to save our lives... What's with all the defensive errors!!! ARGH

Now that is painful, I signed up for the chance to win a chance to buy tickets and I lost :P

Still, at least I would be in the same city

I am now a pretzel.....

Postby Madison Jeff on Fri Sep 28, 2007 12:48 pm

I started by keeping my fingers crossed, hoping the Brewers would rally (this was back when there were 17 games left, and the Brewers had one less loss than the Cubs, and three more games to play than the Cubs did).

My thought process was they had a 17 game season left and they could reach the playoffs, as long as they had less losses than thhe Cubs the rest of the way.

Sadly they have had three more losses since then.

And it looks like they don't have enough time to overtake them (or enough feilding and pitching).

And now I am tied up like a pretzel. Not sure if it is crossing every appendage I have for luck, or if they are having me twisted up in agony as I watched them.....

We need to get rid of Turnbow and find a new manager.

Don't forget to kick Estrada to the curb as well...

It's been great being able to throw out a baserunner with Miller in there.

My 8 year old LOVES the Brewers. It has been heartbreaking watching him swing with the highs and lows (he takes it so personally, he cries very hard). I just have to keep reminding him that they are a very young team and this year, come what may, has been an incredible experience. Granted there have, in my opinion been quite a few dumb a$$ Yost moves but hey, there is always next year. I was listening to the owner after a game this week and he was rather evasive regarding Yost's contract, perhaps there will be an announcement once the season is over. For now, GO BREWERS!!

They blew their chances. All we can do now is look forward to next season.

We were trying to have a nice discussion about the brewers and there you go have to ruin it with your Cubs comment. LOL

Go Goat!!!!!!!

well, i still think the brewers have a very young team with loads of talent that can be good for a long time.

NEVER!!!!!

I will agree on the whole new manager thing though, I think that was what caused a decent amount of the poor performance we saw from the team this year.

I have no problem with sports, and im not trying to be an ass or anything, but this is one of americas problems.......

Last year the Deffisut budget (meaning how much Americans spend on) for sports was about 600 MILLION dollars (HOLY CRAP!!!!!)

and the Budget for SCHOOLING WAS 300 MILLION dollars...(poor kids)

My point is that we need to take the education in America a little bit more seriously, and lay off the sports a bit.

Just a few moths ago there was an article in a sports magazine(not sure wich one) that had a father that would actually lie to his family, and say he was working, to go to football games, even missing the birth of his 2nd child. And when the Wife found out, Divorced him.
