While looking in the DSLR market for myself I thouroughly looked at this camera, and for 375 I would have probably bought it. The 300d is a sweet entry level, semi professional camera. Canons are some of the best you can get. The downside for Canons are the mass expense of the darn lens'.

I was considering a 10D mainly because of the Alloy body and the Pentaprism over the pentamirror VF.

In the end I chose a brand new Pentax K100d because of the K-mount lens, Image stabilizer built in to the camera, and the warranty that comes with new products.

If you go to a professional photo shoot, theres a high chance that theyll be shooting with Nikon's. The professional industry has some odd love for the Nikons and Nikkors over the rest of the SLR's.

That said.

375 is one hell of a deal. IM guessing its gone already.

I have an absurd love for the Nikon camera's, myself...I can't tell you what it is, but it just feels better in my hand for some reason.

I e-mailed the guy about it, but apparently too late...not that I can really afford to drop $400 right now...

It was a canon 300d with battery grip and a lens with a bunch of accessories.

I figured it would go super fast. someone got hooked up.

The guy who posted that offered to hook me up with a guy in Iowa selling the same setup...but on further examination i really can't afford to drop $400, even if it is a ridiculously good deal.

Dang. I'd spend that in a heartbeat. You can barely buy a lens for that price.

I've got a 10D and a 20D right now. They need a new baby brother/sister!

My girlfriend is a semi-professional photographer, doing weddings on the side. She had a 5d and ended up selling that because she liked her XTi better. I suppose its because it more closely resembled her Elan-7 film SLR she learned on. In fact, she ends up taking 2 x XTi and her Elan-7 to weddings.

When it comes to high end cameras, I can't tell what the difference is.
