Need a new dentist

Postby CUNAReefer on Mon Dec 03, 2007 10:57 am

Hey Reefers,

Does anyone know of a good dentist. I went into First Choice Dental 6 months ago and they tried to hit me up on $1300 in fillings  Kind of a shock for my first visit. Prior to moving to Madison, I had my teeth checked and had perfect teeth. Any recommendations?

Thanks,
James

Funny. I was just at the dentist this morning. He had to grind a piece of my jaw down...not funny. And, a pre-emptive "shut up" goes out to my good friend Keyhole. I KNOW you are itching to reply to this.

Anyway, my dentist is Dr. James Lord on Gammon Road - almost in Middleton. He's been voted best dentist in Madison for a number of years by OTHER DENTIST'S, if that says anything. Happy to recommend him myself.

First Choice Dental is crooked in my opinion. They tried to rip me off by billing me for something that never happened. Took hours of talking with them to get it taken care of, and I still had to pay $36 for something else that never happened because I didnt feel like going through hours more of hassle. Was even lied to regarding Wisconsin laws (they cited a law to me over the phone, which I looked up while on the phone and recited to them and got to listen to them try to come up with a reason for why they lied).

Horrible company in my opinion.

Just start chewing tabaco and stop brushing your teeth. You won't have to worry about that dang dentist thing anymore.

I'd recommend using old coral skeleton to create the crowns!

I could recommend quite a few good dentists in the madison area, seeing as how I install computers in dental offices. Dr Lord is a client and is a very nice guy and has a great staff.
