Little Bay de Noc in upper Michigan. It's a bay of Lake Michigan near Escanaba.

Ice was between 14 and 18 inches, but there are pressure cracks that need to be avoided. A number of cars have gone in by people who do not know where they are going. Despite the name, Little Bay de Noc is over 60,000 acres I beleive. Generally have to drive on the ice a few miles to get to our spots.

I'm new to ice fishing. Tried several things, only caught a few crappies, lots of small gills. Never had a flag. Don't really know what I'm doing, but I get out on the ice several times a winter. Maybe next year.
