coolers

Postby meisen on Thu Jun 09, 2005 7:34 am

I will try and have some styrofoam coolers there for folks to take their trades home with. They will go out on a first come, first served basis. I will hopefully have 4 or 5 of them.

Wish I could have made it- but just wasn't possible. My daughter's HS graduation took priority! How was the turnout? What did I miss?

It was great! Everybody got a complete 240g setup WITH stand and MH lights for free...

Well, maybe not - but there was a LOT of trading going on. We had around 45 people show up and I think quite a few went home with something new for their tanks. We'll have some pictures up soon so you can see all the "action".

Early rumors going around of another swap toward the end of the year!

Thanks to everybody who showed up to support MARS (and their tank)!

Well thank goodness I didn't go- I don't NEED another tank! That free tank would really cost me!

Yep, definately thanks to Steve and Mark for organizing the swap. Definately a good time and saw a lot of new faces.

Thanks to Dr. Fosters & Smith for donating the $50 gift certificate and thanks to Animart for the unexpected donation of gift certificates. And the firehouse there for letting us use the space, although going to need something bigger for the next one. :)

swap

Postby meisen on Mon Jun 13, 2005 8:16 pm

Thanks to all you folks for supporting it! You guys made it a sucess!. Lot of fun seeing what people had to bring and good to get to put some more faces with names. I am now a little more careful where I stick my hand in the tank thanks to Toddah

There were a few things we sort of figured out as we went. Anyone who has comments (be gentle...it was our first time) can direct them to either Steve or myself via this thread or pm.

Now go grow all those frags out for next time...!!!

frag swap

Postby Sara25 on Tue Jun 14, 2005 11:10 pm

I just wanted to say thankyou so much to everyone for the frag swap. My friend Mickey and I are new to the saltwater tanks and were so happy to find this website and to attend the frag swap. We both really appreciated everyones hard work that has allowed us to enter this hobby in a slightly more affordable way. Although with all the frags we bought I'm not sure we went home with any money in our pockets! :D Thanks again.
