Devil's lake/Parfrey's glen? The colors are beautiful there, should be warm enough for a hike and picnic. Is anyone interested?
Edited to add link to the state park site. Parfreys Glen is listed near the bottom under the "nature" heading. They are both spectacular places to visit.

Any ideas what time this may be going down? My wife has a baby shower, but she said she would be willing to skip it. She was looking for an excuse to get out of it. I could come by myself also I suppose. Or bring my dog. He loves Devil's lake, but you have to stick to the trails. Plus he wants to stop at most every bush!

I am not going to be able to make it. Something has come up for that weekend. Can any additional stuff fall on that weekend? Geesh.
By the way, here is a link to a report for fall colors:

We're still going to try to get there during the daylight- but doubt very much we'll get there before noon. Weather should be perfect for a hike. We're staying at our camper near Mauston overnight- so if we don't make it Sat, we might go on Sunday.
