i hought i'd let everyone know. I had bought a uv sterilizer from them and it stopped about 1 1/2 months later, whem i called them they didn't ask any questions as to what happened. they said they send me a new one right away and would recieve a return tag a couple days later. total time on the phone was less than 10 minutes. needless to say i was impressed

I have done a heck of a lot of business with Foster&Smith and Live Aquaria. I have never dealt with a company of any kind that is more willing to help their customers. If anything is wrong for any reason, they will fix it. No questions asked. Plus every living creature I've bought from them has been extremely healthy. I just recently bought a blue girdled angel from live aquaria and it's incredibly colorful and healthy. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I agree that they do a great job. I ordered from them on a monday night, and I recieved the package less then 48 hrs later using only the standard shiping. I would recommend going to google and searching for Coupon codes, there are several around that give you 15% off, or $5.00 off.

I get *all* my supplies from foster and smith, and I know my parents do a lot of business with them for there dogs.

My brother-in-law-to-be (follow that) ordered a UV sterilizer for there tank, didn't use it for 3 months, and when they opened it up realized they ordered the wrong one. FosterandSmith STILL accepted the return for the correct item. They will do anything for there customers, and gain more return customers than any other company that I can recall.

I have gotten nearly all my supplies from them, not only do they have great warranty service but good prices too!

They are great! Great customer service, this is what makes a business thrive and make $$$$. Their prices are great too. Just had to order 1000# of reef crystal from them along with over $300.00 in frozen food. The salt was $15.00-$20.00 cheaper on each 200# box and their frozen food was less than half price of the LFS.

LFS can not touch nor do they even try to meet. No problem $5.95 shipping on all including 1000# of salt delivered right to my door!

Caled =D> l ALL LFS and no one would even come close to meeting this deal. Mail/internet order stores make it possible for me to do this hobby, without them I would have to scale back several of my 7 tanks d/t cost but they sure help.

I have to add my voice to the choir of "great customer service". Two months after buying a new one, it began to break down, and they had it replaced by the end of the week!

I agree with all the above posts.

But...I've stopped buying linear fluorescent lamps from them. The amount of packaging they use is obscene. A box, bubble wrap, a heavy-duty cardboard tube, plastic holders to keep the tube in the center of the cardboard tube, and the packaging the lamp comes in from the manufacturer -- all this for each lamp. Staring at the giant pile of crap in my garage just from ordering four light know what a pain it is to get rid of four giant cardboard tubes 4 1/2 feet long by about 5 inches diameter?

I just bought a 3gal JBJ Pico Starter, it arrived with the back corners of the bottom of the aquarium chipped, no questions asked, they handled it very well. The woman on the phone was even so kind as to hold while I chased a door-to-door fund raiser off my front porch. Now that's service.

They are a Wisconsin company they have to be good ;-) I have ordered from the several times and love them. I am a pretty die hard Premium Aquatics fan and have been since 2001 but I am starting to turn more and more to Dr Foster and Smith. If I am ever up in Rheinlander I would love to see their coral farm, I hear it is quite impressive.
