I agree with keeping the "make money for the club" motive out of the equation.
I know a lot of clubs are structured that way and what always seems to happen is the money drives everything instead of just enjoying our hobby.
The club doesn't truly "need" money as near as I can tell, our primary fundraising need is to pay for this website, our life blood IMO. - The annual frag swap meets that need very nicely.

I have loaned out a Mag 9.5 in the past. I didn't charge, nor did I charge the club. I happened to have a spare one at the time that I loaned to someone starting out a tank to see if it would be the right size pump for him. A couple weeks later my primary pump seized up and I sent him a 9-1-1 saying I need that pump back. Got it back right away. No one got screwed, everything worked out. I think this was the intent of this idea.
When on a journey, it is good to have an end, but in the end it's the journey that counts.

Sue has it right I think.

So lets get back to the regularly scheduled program and have more folks list the gear they have and would be willing to loan out.

I will have a new t5 ballast friday. I am not going to use a ice cap anymore. Over driving my bulbs blew two of them out in 6 months. The new ballast shipped is $30 cheaper than getting the icecap fixed.

What do folks think about buying a set of these (4) to be used by the club with some of proceeds from the swap(s)? I don't know if we'll have enough from this years to do it but perhaps in two years we can set aside enough:

They would be loaned out to club members as needed, of course with a hefty deposit on them.

Thoughts?

Does anyone have a spare Icecap 660 they can loan out for a few days till my replacement arrives? I'd probably need it through this Friday, June 24.
