Re: 700 build thread
Wow... That is an impressive tank!! I love how you setup your fish room! I do have to be honest with you though, it sort of looks like you rushed the aquascaping a bit..? It just kind of looks like it was thrown in there. On the left side, you have a really good strategy. Keep doing the layer effect, but try to keep it level and more uniform. In the middle there is a flat giant piece of rock that is kind of bulky. But it is flat, so maybe work that into your shelving design. Don't try to rush it too much and sort of get that Tetris mindset and try to view where the pieces are going to be and work off of that. But either way, you have an amazing looking tank and that's something to be proud of!!!! I hope you don't take my input the wrong way, as everyone is different. But it's just some food for thought. Keep up the good work and happy reefing!!!

Re: 700 build thread
thanks all for the feedback. some of the rock is on fiberglass rods that go into aragacrete pavers to hold them together, some is just stacked and will be epoxied when the design is right. a plan on moving stuff around a bit this weekend and will repost pics. when I ask for opinions and advice I never worry about what people think, everyone likes a different look so I value all the opinions. I do think I need to lay the big shelf down and tie it into the left shelves, but I don't want to keep the shelf even for that long a run so I may angle it somewhat. hopefully better looking pics soon.

Re: 700 build thread
ive moved a bit of the shelf rock around and like the look better. also replaced bulbs 2 and 4 with 12 k reeflux bulbs and added some corals. still cloudy from moving all the sand around. I still plan on trying to tweak the position of the left center shelf a bit to see if I like it better but I do think im getting close to cementing it all in place and adding all my frags. let me know what you think.

Im really liking all of the flowing shelves you have put together, lots of great places to put frags! Keep the pictures coming, your tanks looking good!

Re: 700 build thread
Looking great, I like the placement of the corals to fill the gaps between the rocks. I'd like to see some pics of that other dry tank you got rocking in there if you don't mind :p That thing that impresses the most is how you have stuck with this project and being able to see if take shape over these years in this forum is really cool. Even though my tank is already set up, and not as inspiring, thought out, or intricate as yours, seeing your progress on here and the support you have received has inspired me to post pics of my own two set ups. I also really like that through out this thread you have talked about all the support your family has given you, from getting in the tank for pictures to setting up the rock with you after your surgery. Its just a cool motivating story that until finding this forum was hard to find in this hobby. Rock on man
